On Wings of Song
On Wings of Song Recital Series
Since 1995 the Marilyn Horne Foundation has presented young vocal artists in bi-monthly recitals on Sunday afternoons in New York City. To enhance the audience’s comprehension of the songs texts, supertitles of all song texts, including those in English, are used. As of 2006-07, the series is produced in several other cities as well as New York.

The 2008-09, recitals reached 860 audience goers of which 28% were students plus 360,000+ radio listeners. Vocalists were baritone, Edward Parks, baritone Jonathan Beyer, soprano Jennifer Zetlan, soprano Joslin Romphf, soprano Wendy Bryn Harmer, bass-baritone Evan Hughes, and soprano Susanna Phillips.

The 2009-2010 season features tenor Paul Appleby, soprano Simone Osborne, 2009 MHF Award Winner at the MAW, mezzo-soprano Tamara Mumford, baritone Joshua Hopkins, and tenor Alek Shrader.
